9:15am:  Liz Kids’ Fun Run in Independence Park

9:30am:  Awards Ceremony in Independence Park

Course Information

The Elizabeth 8K Road Race is a USATF-certified course and a fantastic tour of the scenic residential streets of the Elizabeth neighborhood.  Wheelchairs and baby joggers are welcome in the race. Water will be available at the 2 and 4 mile markers and at the finish line. Course map below.

Chip Timing

The 8K race is chip-timed with the D-Tag ^TM from ChronoTrack Systems ^TM.  Runners will receive a disposable chip at packet pick up or race day registration to attach to their shoe. The 3K run/walk is not chip timed. 

Liz Kids’ Fun Run

Even the little ones can get in on the action with the Liz Kids' Fun Run!  It's a free run inside Independence Park for kids six years of age and younger.  Registration for the Liz Kids' Fun Run takes place on race day in the park from 8:45 – 9:15am.

Awards

The first male and female finishers will each receive a 90-minute gift certificate to Breathe Organic Massage and a $75 gift certificate to Asana Activewear.

Top 3 masters male and female

Top 3 in age groups male and female

1-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Awards will not be mailed after the race and will be available for pick up at Charlotte Running Company (1412 East Boulevard) until Sunday, May 16.

Packet & Chip Pick-Up

Pre-registered participants can pick up packets and chips at Charlotte Running Company (1412 East Boulevard) on Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16 from 12:00 – 6:30pm, or on race day from 6:45 - 7:45am.  

T-Shirts

T-shirts are only guaranteed to runners who register before Monday, April 12. Anyone who registers after Monday, April 12 will receive a t-shirt only while supplies last.
